:: KRONOS DIVER K300 ::

OPINION

Before expressing my opinion of this KRONOS diver watch, I would like to introduce this brand of watches created in Barcelona.

Kronos was founded in 1930 by Carlos Vendrell. He was an enterprising merchant from Barcelona with a long family tradition in watchmaking that began in the nineteenth century.

His technical and commercial expertise led him to undertake the huge challenge of creating his own watch brand. He started producing clock collections made by hand in his own workshops. Thanks to trade agreements with Swiss and German manufacturers, they provided him with machinery.

Carlos Vendrell´s vision for the future also led him to develop numerous mechanical pocket watches and wristwatch collections, which were not in common use at that time.
A short time after, outstanding agreements with leading Swiss industries strengthened the Kronos brand in the market. Swiss industries began to produce watches following the instructions of Carlos Vendrell.
These agreements strengthened Kronos and Luis Vendrell, the son of Carlos Vendrell, took over the expansion of the family business.

His objectives were very clear: that Kronos would always be a brand with its own personality and character, well-known for producing very special watches recognised for their touch of exclusivity and originality, avoiding any idea of mass production.
These principles remain in force today and continue to inspire new generations in the 21st century.

This watch is a K300 Kronos. It is a professional dive watch. Water resistant to 330 m. Manufactured in Switzerland. Stainless steel case. Sapphire Crystal. Unidirectional rotating bezel. Crown screw. Caseback screw. With helium valve at 10 o'clock. Stainless steel strap.

This watch has a great presence on the wrist. It has a diameter of 42 mm without the crown. With a thickness of 13 mm.

This Kronos K300 has a strong resemblance to the black OMEGA seamaster professional 300.

Similar black bezel. Identical helium valve, protected screw crown, black dial, similar logo and brand name position in the dial.

I prefer believe that this Kronos K300 is a homage to OMEGA Seamaster professional. In fact, I think is a well homage and with a very competitive price. The official price of this watch, around 450 Euros.

:: ORIS 7500 AUTOMATIC ::

OPINION

This watch that I present in this article is an ORIS. Specifically is the model ORIS 7500. It's a watch with a fantastic presence. Stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, rubber strap type racing. ORIS Automatic movement caliber 635 with 25 jewels.

Oris caliber 635 movement is based on the well-known ETA 2836-2:

Personally, ORIS brand is one of my favorite brands. Their watches have a special character. Watches with pointer calendar.

Watches with oversized crown for aviation pilots can synchronize their watches without removing their gloves:

Professional diver watches.

Sports chronographs.

ORIS Watch 7500 is peculiar in the indication of the day and date on a frame at 12 and 6 as well.

The crown also has a notable presence. Has a size of 4 mm in height.

    :: OMEGA 1950 HAND-WINDING ::

    OPINION

    In this article I want to present a watch OMEGA of the 50s. This is another classic watch with round case, stainless steel.

    I bought this OMEGA in another interesting flea market located near the city of Barcelona.

    In the flea market "MERCANTIC" located in the charming village of Sant Cugat del Vallès.

    In this case, the watch I found it in a state of considerable wear. The watch dial has completely lost the original color. The hands have been repainted in black.

    Moreover, the movement was in perfect working order. And it is a watch that has a considerable size, nothing more and nothing less than 38 mm in diameter.

    TECHNICAL DATA

    Movement Type: Mechanical Hand-winding

    Case material: Stainless Steel

    Case diameter: 38 mm (without crown)  /  40 mm (with crown)

    Thickness: 10 mm

    Band width: 19 mm

    Lug-to-Lug: 46 mm

    Movement/Caliber: Omega Mechanical Hand-winding Calibre 266

    Watch Crystal: plexyglass

    Dial: White with much wear. Watch-hands painted in black.

    Bracelet Material: Leather band.

    :: LONGINES VINTAGE ART DECO ::

    OPINION

    This longines belongs to the decade of the 20s. It is an art deco watch, rectangular watch case. The size of this watch is suprisingly large 39 mm x 25 mm. The watch dial is is the orignal but is worn. If you look, you will see the remarkable resemblance between this Longines and Frank Muller Casablanca. Practically the two dials are identical:

    This watch I got in the "FIRA DEL RELLOTGE 2013". An annual trade show of watch collectors held near the city of Barcelona:
