:: LONGINES 1950 HAND-WINDING ::

OPINION

This Longines watch is a classic. Manufactured by Longines in the early 50's. The watch has a very classic white dial, round and gold-plated case, with manual hand-winding movement by Longines.

I bought this watch few weeks ago at a flea market in Barcelona very interesting "MERCAT DEL BELLCAIRE FIRA DELS ENCANTS" or better known as "ELS ENCANTS VELLS".

The "Encants vells" or Fira de Bellcaire from Plaça de les Glòries in Barcelona, is one of the oldest markets in Europe. From the fourteenth century is an example of Barcelona's commercial dynamism.

:: LONGINES VINTAGE ART DECO ::

OPINION

This longines belongs to the decade of the 20s. It is an art deco watch, rectangular watch case. The size of this watch is suprisingly large 39 mm x 25 mm. The watch dial is is the orignal but is worn. If you look, you will see the remarkable resemblance between this Longines and Frank Muller Casablanca. Practically the two dials are identical:

This watch I got in the "FIRA DEL RELLOTGE 2013". An annual trade show of watch collectors held near the city of Barcelona:
